This Legacy Edition contains five songs restored from original concert set, ALL previously unreleased. The three-part "Beautiful Music" motif restored on Act II, FIRST TIME ON CD and the original song sequence of entire concert restored has been restored — so Barry Manilow Live: Legacy Edition is exactly as heard by audiences on historic 1976-77 tour.
Deep Mountain Lake by Gary Revel HIT Roots Music Report Chart
Deep Mountain Lake by Gary Revel entered the Roots Music Report this week on the Roots/Americana Country chart at number 50. The music recording is the title cut of his eclectic album on the Jongleur Music Label and published by Sony/ATV Milene music company. Sony/ATV purchased the publishing of the song when they bought Acuff-Rose which sale included ASCAP arm Milene.
Son Volt Back In The Studio
Son Volt has finished recording the next album. The mixing session is scheduled for August and the album will be in stores in Spring 2007.
Chicago Celebrates The Year Of The Silk Road
The Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Silk Road Project announced Silk Road Chicago, a yearlong, citywide celebration inspired by the art and culture of the historic Silk Road, from June 2006 to June 2007. Silk Road Chicago (www.silkroadchicago.org) is an unprecedented cultural collaboration among these four partner institutions and more than 70 cultural and community organizations across the city. With this initiative, Chicago becomes the first city in the world to collaborate on a yearlong partnership with renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma and his Silk Road Project.
